can't activate activesupport-3.2.9, already activated activesupport-2.3.14
Added by Kamilla Crozara about 12 years ago
I have this weird error and I don't figure out how to fix this. I've searched at the forum but nothing works with this issue. I'll be glad if you can help.
First steps:
sudo apt-get install apache2 mysql-client mysql-common mysql-server
sudo apt-get install ruby1.8 ruby1.8-dev ruby-i18n ruby-rails-2.3 ruby-tmail
sudo apt-get install rubygems ruby-builder ruby-coderay ruby-text-format
sudo apt-get install ruby-blankslate ruby-mysql ruby-net-ldap ruby-rack ruby-rchardet
Everything works. But I have this error now:
root@jaguara:~# apt-get install redmine redmine-mysql

Thank u for the answer. But I got this error message:
root@jaguara: make && checkinstall --type=debian --install=yes --fstrans=no --pakdir='~'
...
Some of the files created by the installation are inside the build
directory: /root/ruby-1.9.3-p374
You probably don't want them to be included in the package,
especially if they are inside your home directory.
Do you want me to list them? [n]: n
Should I exclude them from the package? (Saying yes is a good idea) [y]: y
Copying files to the temporary directory...OK
Stripping ELF binaries and libraries...OK
Compressing man pages...OK
Building file list...OK
Building Debian package... FAILED!
- Failed to build the package
Do you want to see the log file? [y]:
And the log:
dpkg-deb: error: parsing file '/var/tmp/tmp.7HCzpOyVTJ/package/DEBIAN/control' near line 7 package 'ruby-1.9.3':
error in Version string 'p374-1': version number does not start with digit
/var/tmp/tmp.7HCzpOyVTJ/dpkgbuild.log (END)
I've solved it! I change the number of the version when it asks for.

I got the same error. How did you solve it? The installation process did not ask for a version #.
