Just found the need for this today, and no way to save a Gantt filter. Having to go back and redo it each time is a usability irritation.
Ideally, this filter can be used wherever, whether in the issues list or Gantt or Calendar. Calendar needs it as well.
One filter capability across all views. I can just save it once, and have it apply to different views.

I have the same opinion as Jos Accapadi has: Gantt, Calendar and Issue list should share their filters. Optionally (and I personally would never use this) you could probably individually specify whether the filter should be shown on Gantt, Calender or Issue list

In addition with the new progress line and relations in gantt, this would be very great.

Feature added in r12020. You can now save queries from the gantt. Rendering options (relations and progress line) are saved along with the filters.
