How to turn email notifications off?

/my/account contains three alternatives for email notifications:
- For any events on all my projects
- For any events on the selected projects only
- Only for things I watch or I'm involved in
Curiously, there's no (per-user) setting to turn the email notifications off completely. Should there be? Obviously, removing e-mail address does the trick, but...
