Redmine

Hello everyone,

the company I work for, Redpill Linpro, has long been a provider of open source solutions. We provide deployment, development, managed services and support for many open source systems, including Redmine project management.

We also have a large course offering with Red Hat, Apple, Ubuntu and Novell partnerships, as well as a large portfolio of in-house courses on open source systems.

We use Redmine internally for some of our development support, and we have deployed Redmine and written custom plugins for our customers. Furthermore we have compiled a course in project management created entirely in Redmine.

Today we added two courses to our training offering:

Redmine installation and administration

This course covers setting up and administering a Redmine installation in a typical managed environment. A methodology for introducing project management with the aim to maximise its utility will be discussed.

Redmine project management for everyone

This course is a complete introduction to the workflow of Redmine and covers all useful functionality including issue tracking, roadmapping, communication and document handling. A general process will be presented that may be adapted to any production environment.

This latter course can be attended by nontechnical people who need project management for media projects, creative projects and other activities which require a good project management tool and methodology.

The courses emphasize learning by doing and are very hands-on. All course documentation is made and delivered using Redmine.
