Problem with custom_field and validate

Hello
I have a problem with validation of users custom fields in Redmine. There is a group of custom fields that are required, by leaving blank this field, the validator displays two messages:
1 - <field> can not be blank
2 - Invalid value
Anyone know why the second message?
I wonder how I can remove it.
