Forum sharing between projects

Is there a way to share forums between projects? In our system, it would be very useful to share certain boards with, for example, the entire project hierarchy or even project tree. Discussions on lab equipment or upgrades would be an example, when we have several projects in the same lab.

The easiest way is to create a new project with this forum, all users of other projects having access to it.
But of course this is not the same as trackers beeing displayed in the project tree.. you have to switch to the 'internal public project'.

That would work certainly, but only as long as all users (who are supposed to be) are actually members of said project. Unfortunately, the various admins don't necessarily follow the instructions to add all users to this "All Users" group (how I handled it for our "internal public project".
Incidentally, it would be nice to have an option to truly make a project "internal public" - all users of the system can see the contents without being members of the project, separate from "public"/"open source" - any person on the web can see it... but that is a different discussion.
What I would like to see is an implementation similar to trackers and versions, where the shared forums are visible in all projects that it is shared to.
