Redmine

Hi
We are running a HPC cluster and we are looking for a better way of organizing our files. What we want is a way of organizing projects in such a way that all projects are located on a large HD internally and then have the ability to check out an entire project to our production server to do work on it. Thus we need some sort of versioning system, SVN for example. Also a way of adding default files to the repository as the are produced, for example result-files.

My question is, will redmine be able to do this? Also, is it possible to run redmine off the command line?
