Communication between Redmine and OpenNMS

Hi folks!
i'm using Redmine and OpenNMS. Both are wonderful OpenSource projects so I'm interested to combine them. Are there any interfaces in Redmine i can use to let OpenNMS create tickets or something like that?
The other way around would be nice too.
