change the default port to 80

Hi everybody,
I have just installed Redmine on Ubuntu 12.04 desktop.
By default the port used by the server is 8080.
I want to change the port to 80 default http port.
I have been trying to change the httpd Listenport to 80 but after that the Apache server does nto restart.

Any body have any idea why is this happening.

Your webserver and your application server are different things...
Do you use passenger?
Please post your apache config and passenger settings.
