Running Redmine with Apache
Added by Reynier Perez Mira almost 16 years ago
Hi every:
Since I have testing Redmine I ran this over WebRick. Now I'm ready to install and get a production server for Redmine but I'm asking if is possible to run Redmine using Apache and Mod Passenger. ¿It's possible? ¿Any manual or documentation for how to do this?
Cheers and thanks in advance

Indeed, and it runs very well.
Just read the Passenger documentation on how to deploy a Rails application. Nothing special is required to run Redmine.

I follow every step explained in this URL http://www.modrails.com/documentation/Users%20guide.html#_deploying_to_a_virtual_host_s_root but when I try my application I get this error:
500 Internal Server Error
I check my apache logs and can not see nothing wrong:
cat /var/log/apache2/redmine-error.log [Thu Feb 05 16:26:13 2009] [error] [client 10.3.2.126] File does not exist: /redmine/favicon.ico [Thu Feb 05 16:26:20 2009] [error] [client 10.3.2.126] File does not exist: /redmine/railsapplication
What's wrong then?
