good day all, new to this and i hope that someone with experience can help. the chirp works on the uv-r5 and uv-r3 plus, and the connections for the programming cable is the Kenwood style, does it make sense that the same cable and chirp protocols, then the uv-8r may work. thanks so much for all of the past successes and hope that my uv-8r can be programmed also. although there was a problem with the usb (prolific) but was dealt with by others experiences.
