Maintaining Redmine

Added by B Q about 10 years ago

Hi,

My previous company used Redmine to track a lot of tasks. We had many developers and I dont think it was a hassle to setup Redmine.
The company I work for now needs some kind of tool like this. Redmine seems just fine to me, but no one here is a developer. I studied programming in the past to the very basics so I think I would be able to setup Redmine with all the manual out there, but if it need some sort of maintenance Im not sure I would be able to handle it, nor the person who may replace me when I leave the company.

My question is, does Redmine usually requires some work on the server side once its setup?

No, not really. You can always go for a hosted version of redmine (http://plan.io) which, in the end, might prove to be more hassle-free and even cheaper than if you did it yourself.
