Automatically display DESCRIPTION content?

Hello,
I really like REDMINE. My sysadmin installed it for several projects and I dont seem to be able to find which version it is. However one small thing is bugging me : EVERYTHING I update a task, the content of the DESCRIPTION field is hidden.
I dont seem to find any option anywhere to display it instead of hiding it.
Is it possible?
