MariaDB?

I'm doing a test install on an Ubuntu 22.04 VPS, which already runs various services (including Alfresco) with MariaDB 10.6 (I had issues with the C++ connector on MySQL, and the RedHat and Ubuntu worlds seems to prefer MariaDB).
I don't really want to install PostgreSQL as well, but I can if really necessary. The information on MariaDB is sketchy. Can I get a usable Redmine with MariaDB? Under what circumstances will I see #35685 /etc? What will actually happen if any of these bugs are triggered? I don't think there will ever be more than maybe 10 users, with 2 or 3 concurrent ones. Or should I just bite the bullet and install PostgreSQL??
