Redmine

I've installed Redmine and we are using it regularly. I am having issues sending emails to users when new projects are created or project issues updated. The email address on the Admin account (my gmail address) receives email updates as expected, but my user email address does not receive any updates. I have uncommented config.action_mailer.logger = nil in config/environments/production.rb to try and debug from log/production.log, but I'm not seeing any information on emails. Can someone please help me trouble shoot?
