Auto assign a role to new registered user

Hi guys,

I know howto automatically activate new registred user accounts direcly after the user registered. BUT I don't get how I automatically can assign him a role (e.g. Reporter) in a particular project? I don't wanna do that every time again manually 'cause if I'm not at home the users have to wait...

Can you please help me.
