Redmine

Howdy all,
I've got Redmine up and running almost great on Heroku. But I am running into a very frustrating issue. I know email is working because I can send test messages, and user activation emails work. But for the life of me I can't get notifications to trigger.. I've got my test users to receive emails for all activity, I have every type of notification checked, but when I look at the logs there isn't even an entry for send to, except for (of course) when I send test messages or user activations.

So what details do I need to share, and what the heck am I missing to get notifications working? I am running off a clone of trunk (in case there is a known issue with trunk or something).
