Cannot make favicon.ico to show - what am I doing wrong?

I copied a new favicon.ico to the public directory, but I can't make it show... Is there something specific I need to do to update this?

(And yes.. I did clear all browser cache)

DUH.. nevermind.... just added <link rel="shortcut icon" href="/public/favicon.ico" /> to the base.rhtml file...
