does Redmine actually check out a new repository in local hard driver ?

I used Subversion on Ubuntu 11.04 and make 2 projects on Redmine.

Each project has its repository and worked on Web.

But my hard driver is almost out of space.

In order to avoid the HD space issue someday, I want to make a soft link (or mount to another HD) for current repositories.

Which directory should I link(mount to) ?
