Pls help to change URL of redmine v.1.2.1

Hi All,

My current URL is http://hostname:8000 . Can I move this URL to http://hostname/redmine?
I tried by adding mod_proxy in apache, but it's not working with javascript.

My problem is the same with this issue http://www.redmine.org/issues/2508 , but i cannot resolve with the advice in this link...

Could you pls help me ?
