LDAP and incoming emails

Hi all
We use the UID from an LDAP server as the Redmine login. I want users to be able to send emails to create/update tickets, but that requires the login to be the email address. Is it possible to have Redmine check if the from-email matches an UID and accept the mail if so.
Redmine 1.1.0.devel.4702 (MySQL)
