Log file doesn't contain time and date info

Hi all,
Sometimes I have to check on an error report some days after the error occurred.
Finding back the error in the production.log file is harder than it should be because most logging entries have no date and time info associated with them.
Maybe it's possible to set this with a configuration option, but I can't find how to do it.
I'd like to have the time and date logged in the production.log file similar to how stuff is logged in the system log files.
