With the version 0.7.3 and most probably previous revisions, the CVSROOT must contain a username (i.e :ext:username@servername:/cvsdatabase/projects1). Even if your CVS server allows a connection without username in the CVSROOT, (:ext:servername:/cvsdatabase/projects1), you must add it in the CVSROOT field in redmine. Without this username, none error will be reported but the information extracted from the CVS server will be corrupted.
