Redmine

Ive spent a few days on IRC getting help from Ammller, he even done as much as taking my google apps settings and applying them on his own redmine system and they worked. I see the sent mail, On the same domain I run Joomla 2.5! i have the account configured in it and sent myself a test mail, I see it on google apps sent email, I got the email in Mail.app on my Mac so we have confirmed twice that the email setting do work, same information on both Joomla, on my redmine and on his redmine. We know that its not the firewall blocking (unless its blocking passenger)

What other trouble shooting methods do I have to my disposal on why no emails go out so no one gets notified when a new issue is assigned to them and Test mail even though we get the green " An email was sent to x@y.com " alert box even though it really wasnt sent, I also see the email in the logs file but notice no errors on connecting to the server
