Using Redmine text formatting to create links that open in a new tab

For text areas in Redmine, there is the standard format for writing links (i.e. "<display text>":<URL>).

It seems to me that these links open in the current window by default. Is it possible to use the Redmine text formatting to create links that open in new tabs or windows?
