Help with Json date format: 1.4.5 changed the format?

Hello,
I'm not sure what my employer's older version was, but we just updated to Redmine 1.4.5 and a custom field is no longer working.
The custom date field cannot be updated via Json. The message returned is "CustomFieldName is not a valid date".
The date format that was working in the previous version of Redmine was "yyyy-mm-dd". Is there a way to see what version 1.4.5 is expecting?
