Is it possible to (automatically) render textile files as wiki pages?

E.g. Trac has such a feature (when the mime-type of a svn file is text/x-trac-wiki, the page will be rendered like a wiki page). Also Github automatically renders pages ending with ".textile" like wiki pages.

Is this somehow, even partially, possible in Redmine? If not, maybe you know a plugin which provides such functionality?

If no such solution exists, would it be possible, to implement such a plugin, that automatically renders wiki pages in repository browser or in a dedicated view?
