Make private project wiki public

Hi,
I have been using redmine for some time and find it very useful indeed.
There is a private project of which I want to make the wiki public (for anybody with the link to view). There is a related post (http://www.redmine.org/boards/2/topics/5681) which I tried out but am still being redirected to the login screen (which is not supposed to happen with the solution there).
Can anybody help me out? Please do get back to me in case I have not provided enough information.
