Any way to auto delete logs and tmp/session files?

I just recently noticed while moving over our files to the new server that there were a lot of files in the folder. Any way to auto delete them i.e. setup a feature to delete them periodically?
The same goes with the logs files as well. It was about 400 MBs. Anyway to take care of that too?
