Can't start new project?

Good day,

I'm a newbie and just created an account and was about to get started but I'm not able to create a new project? When I click on projects from the top left hand menu it brings me to a page that only shows two options? "view all issues" & "overall activity". When I click on those it gives me posts about Redmine patches, fixes & bugs etc?

How can I fix this?
