Group- and role-based issue assignment and notifications

Let's say I have a group called developer
, as I want to be able to assign tickets to this group. Not every developer is actively working on each project, but should be allowed to comment each issue and see the wiki for each project. Hence I assign each developer to either the role worker
or watcher
on each project, depending on what role they should have. This also should influence which tickets a member of that group
- should see when filtering the issues via "assigned to <<me>>", and
- receive notifications for,
but it doesn't. I could achieve this by introducing a group for each project that contains the "worker"-members, but this seem not to be a scalable approach. So what am I missing, how else I am supposed to easily achieve this?

Is there no way to achive this? Should I open a ticket for that matter?
