Windows 10.1 using redmine-2.6.0-2 How to recover/reset lost root password

I forgot my root password on my redmine-2.6.0-2, I am trying to create a backup of the mysql database, so I can migrate it to redmine-3.3.1-0.
Any Help would be appreciated it.

Hi,
this doesn't seem a Redmine related Problem but MySQL. You'll find lots of Information about resetting MySQL Passwords using Internet search.
