How do i make my redmine server secure or open it with https on debian

Please tell me how to make my redmine Server secure based.
It is running perfectly on http.
but i want it to run on https.

I tried changing creating ssl certificated and then restarting apache2.
Still i am unable to run it with https.
Somtimes i get a Folder.

or it gives 400 error
