How to close an Issue

Hi,

How do i mark an issue as resolved ?

I can't see an option in Issue page.

I got solution from irc #redmine

problem was the user i used to login don't have privileges to set status. I added the user as manager and i have option to set status in update page.

When an Issue is resolved, i have to set it to Resolved ? What status "Closed" means ?

If i set to show only open Issues, then if a Resolved issue reopened by a user will become Open ?

Go to Administration -> Issue statuses.
You will see all the statuses. If you see a status has "Issue closed" checked, that one won't show up in your issue list.

You can have multiple "Statuses" to "Close".

for example, you can have the following statuses set to close & when you set one of these status to a task, that won't show up on the default issue list.
"Won't Fix"
"Resolved"
"Closed"
"Completed"

Remember You can set "Roles and permissions" for each Status vs Role.
