Redmine

I have been having a problem getting redmine installed. I have tried the stable release 0.84, the svn branches/0.8-stable and the trunk. Unfortunately, I have not been able to install any of them. The trunk was actually the closest while breaking on an each method. What is the recommended configuration to easily install redmine?
