Plugin: Weekly Timesheet - don't show closed issues
Added by Francisco Almeida almost 13 years ago
Nice work with this plugin.
I would like to know if it is possible to show just open issues when we are creating a new weekly timesheet.
Thanks,
Francisco

IMHO, the plugin should let users charge time even if the issues are closed. The present behaviour is correct: usages such as mistakes correction, charging forgotten hours, etc are possible. However, I absolutely agree with Francisco Almeida, optional filters would be really helpful to find the issue faster. I would add the option to introduce directly the id of the issue, that way it wouldn't be necessary to pick it from a possibly large combo-box (imagine a project with hundreds of open issues)
Thank you

Yes, I agree with Rafael. I have also checked with another fellow redmine user (Igor Zubchenok). he had said the same thing about closed issues.
Are you saying instead of the dropdown, use a textbox to just capture the id ?
Based on a request from Igor Zubchenok, we have prepended the id to each of the issue in the dropdown, not sure if thats going to help with dealing with large issue lists.

Hi Dhanasingh
Yes, that's what I meant: using a textbox as an alternative (not as a substitute) for the combo to capture the id (some users may feel comfortable with the combo, others may want to use the id of the issue to make the input a little bit faster)
In our case, I guess the solution you offer to Igor Zubchenok's request is a great workaround for our problem.
I suppose you'll sort the issues by the string resulting of prepending the issue's id to its subject, won't you?
Thanks for your extremely quick reply

the dropdown list will be sorted by the id, I guess it should be the samething like sorting after prepending the id

Hi Dhanasingh
Will you release this feature in the next version of the plugin, let's say 0.0.5?
By the way, we downloaded version 0.0.4 today, and in the "Configuration => Plugins" screen of Redmine it shows as if we had installed version 0.0.1. It led us to some confusion after the install :-)
Thank you
