Sidebar Issues Control Panel plugin for Redmine 2.x

Anyone know of a way to get(or, fork of) Issues Control Panel (which allows Jira style update/ reassign of issues) to work in Redmine 2.x (I am on 2.1.2)

I just started from their initial release by patching the plugin to support Redmine 3.x
