Diff/notification emails for each push to a repository

Hello everyone,
is there a solution/plugin how to get diff emails for each push to the project repository (gitolite), that will be configurable on user basis through Redmine? A notification email with a link to the repository in Redmine may be sufficient.
I was looking for some plugins like redmine_diff_email and its forks on GitHub, but they are quite outdated and not working with Redmine 2.x.x.

The patch may be not so difficult to code, but I have no experience with redmine and programming plugins for Redmine at all.
Could anybody help?
