Kerberos authentication with AD

I am looking for an authentication module for kerberos authentication to be used with Active Directory.
We have apache/kerberos working, I just can not find a proper kerberos module.
There is a very old one, for v1.x, which is abandoned.
Furthermore, I found: https://github.com/cortex/redmine-ldap-kerberos
It says: It will use the system /etc/krb5.conf, no configuration required in the plugin.
I have configured all correctly. Kerberos with Apache works. However, this plugin does not seem to work together with Redmine.
Anyone, any idea?
