Proposal backport Debian/Ubuntu patch to Redmine trunk

Hi All,

I'm using Redmine from Debian/Ubuntu package for a while, and they simplify a lot the installation of Redmine. In particular, their patch allow multiple instance of Redmine to run from a single Redmine installation. I was wondering if you are considering to merge such patches back to the Redmine trunk.

My first real experience with Redmine was with the Ubuntu install and I really liked the X_DEBIAN_SITEID feature. I was bummed to find out that I had to do multiple installations of Redmine if I wanted to leverage a newer codebase. I would love to see this functionality in Redmine core!
