How to add a new URI scheme to the wiki - automatic link

I want to use a custom URI scheme docstore:// in the wiki. Currently the wiki only set automatically for http:// links. Is it possible to do it as a plugin? Or where in the code I should looks for to find clue on this?

Eg.
I want to convert docstore://abc/cde.odt text to <a href="docstore://abc/cde.odt">
