CLOSED Adapt small existing in-house plugin to work with current redmine version

Added by Daniel N over 1 year ago

Hi, I am currently looking for a skilled ruby dev with experience in redmine plugin development.

We use a relatively small/simple plugin to implement a custom field which uses (extends/overwrites -and currently breaks) redmine internal autocomplete logic. This plugin used to work flawlessly on 3.x and on 4.2.2 for years but stopped working on the current 4.2.x / 5.x version. Plugin basic functionality and redmine itself keep working (and seems to be fine / out of scope) but all redmine fields which would have autocompletion (including the plugins own field) just don’t have working autocomplete (the request gets a 404) when the plugin is active.

plugin works on

this redmine runs on an internal network on apache / passenger and has not https enabled

Environment:
  Redmine version 4.2.2.stable
  Ruby version 2.5.1-p57 (2018-03-29) [x86_64-linux-gnu]
  Rails version 5.2.6
  Environment production
  Database adapter Mysql2

plugin does not work on

this redmine runs on apache / passenger and has https enabled

Environment:
  Redmine version 4.2.9.stable
  Ruby version 2.7.0-p0 (2019-12-25) [x86_64-linux-gnu]
  Rails version 5.2.8.1
  Environment production
  Database adapter Mysql2

To be transparent: This is for a non profit org (german „e.V“) - we don’t have a huge budget. TeamViewer preferred.
