Defect #10700
openUsability - Change Password
0%
Description
Issue:
Even though changing one's password is one of the main reasons to acces ones user profile, it isn't very visible there (a link sitting at the right upper corner).
Solution:
i.e. make it a box below chaning ones name/email

I'm not sure that having the same form to update its email/preferences and changing its password is more intuitive.

Maybe Mo Ru wants to change the password directly under the same page, instead of via clicking the link to go to the "Change password" page.
Well, I don't mind an extra click, IMO, since it's very rare for me to change the password.
Or, how about setting the link to be bold to make it more visible? :)

yes, it's about the visibility/position of the thing. The user-name and the password are semantically connected as they are used together at login. So I think grouping them / placing them in each others proximity in whatever way will make people find the password-change-dialog faster. :)
