Overview page of all projects in Redmine for every user

Description
An overview page containing all projects in Redmine would be very nice for every user to see which projects exist in the Redmine installation. Especially when new projects were launched this feature would be very interesting. At this time only public projects are available to everyone on the main page. But if you created several non public projects they won't appear in the main page.
Nice to have: If the user wants to become a contributor of a project, he can register himself to the project (the manager receive a ticket to admit the new contributor for example).

indeed a possibility to show a non open project on the overview page would help. I have several projects and everytime I have to ask every user myself if he wants to contribute to some of these projects. But if all my users could see all closed projects that I want and maybe a description of them, my users could send me a message if they want to contribute.
