Custom queries are a great means to provide standard views into projects.
Users and especially administrators may save a lot of time if the custom queries would become more manageable:

- central queries to be reused from multiple projects (i.e. if the query is changed it changes in all projects)
- change is only possible at a central place. If a project needs a derivate it needs to create an own independent custom query
