Description
Request that the setting for whether an issue's % Complete is driven off of the % Complete field or the Issue Status field be done at the tracker level.
This will allow you to choose which trackers will use the % complete field (manual entry) and which will just be status driven (automated).
Because this is a system-wide setting, I do not use the status field driven setting at all even though I would really love to for MOST of our trackers.
