<p>I've attached the wiki text that I wrote in the body and I think it should become like this where <code>pode</code> is replaced by <code>code</code>:<br /><pre><pode java></pre></p>
<p>does really escape?</p>
<pre>
<code class="ruby syntaxhl"><span class="c1"># The Greeter class</span>
<span class="k">class</span> <span class="nc">Greeter</span>
<span class="k">def</span> <span class="nf">initialize</span><span class="p">(</span><span class="nb">name</span><span class="p">)</span>
<span class="vi">@name</span> <span class="o">=</span> <span class="nb">name</span><span class="p">.</span><span class="nf">capitalize</span>
<span class="k">end</span>
<span class="k">def</span> <span class="nf">salute</span>
<span class="nb">puts</span> <span class="s2">"Hello </span><span class="si">#{</span><span class="vi">@name</span><span class="si">}</span><span class="s2">!"</span>
<span class="k">end</span>
<span class="k">end</span>
</code><br /></pre>
<p>I know that <code>pre</code> tag block is a wiki to html escape, but I think a wiki to simple text escape could be useful too (something like <code>{{nowiki}}</code>, <code>{{nowiki_end}}</code> macros).</p>
<p>I found that issue while writing a dokuwiki to redmine's wiki translator and maybe that is a very rare case; if you think that is not a bug or it is how redmine's wiki should work close it and please forgive me for the noise.</p>
<p>Just a question: how can I write <code><pode></code> where <code>pode</code> is replaced by <code>code</code> with redmine's wiki engine?</p>
<p>Regards</p>
