Git for Redmine source

Added by Nick Coyne over 16 years ago

I see some other posts asking about Redmine source available through git, and I've found the unofficial mirror on github, but is Redmine going to be moving from SVN to Git?

We're seriously considering using Redmine, but I can't imagine ever going back to SVN, especially since we might fork Redmine for our own requirements, or submit patches. Both processes are so much easier with Git.

Thx

I'm for moving to Git but it's up to Jean-Philippe to decide officially. I'm running one of the unofficial mirrors on github and have been using a private repository for my client and plugin development for a few months now. Everything runs great in it, including submodules to track plugins.

A solution could be the same way than Fred did for Typo blog sys': The svn is still the master and official way to dev, but there's a git repo auto-sync. If there's differences between the two, the svn is authority.
