add tasks from other site

Hi, I am new to redmine and sorry if this question was already answered somewhere.
What is the right way to send a task to redmine from different external website (it is based on php) ?
Would it be correct if I just make a sql-insert ?

I would advise against that. If you have the other site on the same machine, you could try using the mail importer script and feed it a minimal email, or a full email if you're not on the same machine.
