File linkage

I would like to see files available anywhere in a project. What this means is upload the file once, and it's available to link to anywhere within the project.
Use case 1:
-Upload file1 to files area.
-Create new issue.
-Select file1 from option one of two options: 1)Project files, 2)Local computer
-Attach to the issue without having to upload a new file
Use case 2:
-Create a new issue.
-Upload file2 as an attachment to the issue
-file2 is automatically added to the project file "pool" and available from the files section or to add to other issues, wikis, or documents as needed.
Would anyone else like to see this implemented?

Discovered a simple work-around for this.
Basically, just copy the URL for your file currently stored in the Files area (or attached to an issue) by right-click "copy link address", then paste that URL into your new issue, wiki, forum, etc. This way, you upload files once, and they're accessible anywhere within Redmine!
May be simple to incorporate the built-in functionality I mention above by simply using the URLs within the code base. For future reference..
